　　Drivers in Macclesfield could only watch and wait as the mallard waddled along Clarke Lane with her flock of 13 fluffy ducklings en route to the nearby Ridgate Reservoir.

　　Onlookers said the family of ducks had tried to reach the water over a wall, but took a detour along the road when it proved too high for the tiny ducklings to cross.

　　有围观者表示这群鸭子本来是打算翻过墙去水边的，但后来只能沿着公路绕道而行，因为墙太高了小鸭子们过不去。

　　&aposMother duck could fly over the drystone wall, but the ducklings couldn&apost make it,&apos one passerby said.

　　一位路过的行人说：“鸭妈妈可以飞过那堵墙，但小鸭子们就不行啦。”

　　&aposShe then walked them 500 yards up the road to a gate in the wall and they all made it back to the water.&apos The quirky scene was captured on camera close to Macclesfield Forest.
