Wonderful BU by Anonymous - December 22, 2003 How did you become interested in Boston University? I initially became interested in Boston University through the prestigious reputation it holds as one of the finest institutions in the nation. I constantly heard its name mentioned whenever talk of the best colleges ensued among my peers and me. Then, as I began to research various universities throughout the nation, I found that this college appealed to me the most. The first thing that caught my attention was the presence of an undergraduate business school with a wide variety of majors to select from. While undergraduate business schools in many other excellent colleges are nonexistent, Boston University has founded a school worthy of the acclaim it has received. Secondly, the wide variety of organizations on the campus provide a source for me to fulfill and develop my nonacademic interests and continue some of the activities I am currently involved in, including community service. It will also allow me to associate with groups of people with whom I share common interests. Furthermore, the campus has furthered my interest in this university through not only its location in the city of Boston, but also through the appearance of the campus itself. Boston, primarily a university town, provides all of the amenities that could possibly be needed by a college student while simultaneously providing a lively arena filled with diversity and tradition. Additionally, the campus environment provides a pleasing scene to the eye, as opposed to other universities composed solely of austere buildings with little to no greenery. Essentially, Boston University encompasses everything I am looking for in a college: a prestigious reputation, an excellent undergraduate business school, an active student body, and a dynamic environment. As such, I would love to attend this institution so that I may gain a superior education while simultaneously being able to enjoy the college experience it provides.
