Please note that official (paper) transcripts are not required at the time of application. An applicant may be admitted to a graduate program on the basis of the scanned transcript, but presentation and verification of the official paper transcript will be a condition that must be met prior to registration.

Curriculum Vitae:
Curriculum Vitae which includes an indication of your level of performance proficiency, including the number of years of instrumental or vocal studies and a summary of your performance experience. A list of any relevant studies and/or professional experience which does not appear in official transcripts (e.g., certification courses; publications; workshop presentations).
Personal Statement:
A purpose statement explaining why you want to begin a doctoral program in Music Education.
Recommendation Letter:
At least two letters of reference (one from an instructor in your major area and one from an instructor familiar with your academic work). Please contact your referees in advance to obtain an e-mail address (preferably a university e-mail address). Be sure to inform your referees that you are doing this and that the University of Toronto, School of Graduate Studies will be contacting them by email.
