美国大学统计专业排名：美国大学统计专业研究生申请要点
GRE sub：许多Top的学校在申请的要求里都不强制要求申请者提交数学Sub的成绩。虽不要求，但大多数学校会建议学生提交Sub的成绩——这点说明如若能取得一个不错的数学Sub成绩会对申请增色不少。一般来说，Sub考到90%以上的比例算是很不错的。
GRE和TOEFL：和其他专业的硕士项目申请一样，Top的学校对托福的要求为100，比如Johns Hopkins University (约翰霍普金斯大学)。华盛顿大学要求申请者的托福口语在26分以上。大部分美国的学校对GRE的成绩没有最低要求，但既然是申请对数学有一定要求的统计，GRE 的数学部分取得高分就很关键了。
本科背景要求：统计学硕士项目对本科背景的要求并非特别严格，但最好是要有一定的数学背景，修过相关的数学课程。比如像华盛顿大学的统计学硕士就要求申请者最好有数学和统计背景，30学分以上的数学和统计课程，包括1年的中级微积分，线性代数以及概率论课程。卡耐基梅隆也要求申请者修过两学期的微积分课程，一门线性回归分析以及一门矩阵代数。而斯坦福往年录取的学生背景各异，30%的学生本科为数学专业，19%的统计学，经济学本科背景占16%，工科背景占 14%，其他的背景如计算机、金融以及运筹学等。
统计学专业对于申请者的数学能力要求非常高，所以数学专业，统计专业，计算机专业或者精算专业的学生在申请时有非常大的优势，但是文科专业或者其他工科专业的申请者就很难打破这层限制，一般不建议申请。如果学生的数学基础一般，或者对数学不感兴趣，我们建议也不要轻澳际请美国统计学硕士，因为在后面的学习中，数学将会占据非常大的比重，会让学生痛苦不堪。
