　　【纽约州立大学石溪分校奖学金申请】

　　石溪大学对那些在学习或研究领域表现杰出的学生，都会提供奖学金支持。有些奖学金是不需要学生专门提出申请，只要学生的平均成绩达到3.75以上，具备一定的领导能力，或是参加过公共社会服务工作，有创造性，校方会自动考虑学生的奖学金事宜;还有一些奖学金则要求学生提交相关的个人陈述及推荐信，以证明申请人的特殊能力。石溪大学每年为优秀的中国学生提供10个杨振宁奖学金名额，其中，中教国际推荐的50名学生有10%将被授予每年5,000美金的奖学金(杨振宁奖学金获得者，只要每年学习成绩和综合考评达到学校要求，可连续每学年优先享有此奖学金)。

　　1、给予新生的优秀奖学金项目包括：Honors College Scholarships、INTEL Science Talent Search National Finalists and Semifinalists、National Merit Scholarships、Presidential and Provost's Out-of-State Scholarships、Valedictorian and Salutatorian Scholarships、WISE - Women In Science and Engineering。

　　2、由纽约州立大学石溪分校提供的奖学金项目包括：Chancellor's Award、H. Lee Dennison Valedictorian Award、Distinguished Community Service Award、Ward Melville Valedictorian Award、William and Teresa Meyer Award、Elizabeth Luce Moore Award、Provost Award、Benjamin and David Scharps Award、William J. Sullivan Award、Undergraduate Recognition Award。

　　3、由校外机构提供的奖学金项目包括：Carnegie、Cooke Graduate、Fulbright 、Gates Cambridge、Goldwater、Javits Fellowship、Mitchell、NSF Graduate、St. Andrew's Society Scholarship、Soros、The Woodrow Wilson National Foundation Fellowships。

Senior Leadership and Service Awards	Awarded to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to campus life by making a difference in the lives of other Stony Brook Community members. Nominees must have demonstrated leadership and/or service through tangible contributions to the University. Nominees must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 at the time of the nomination. Shiming Hu Memorial Scholarships	Leadership Award - For a graduating senior who has played a significant leadership role in an Asian interest club or organization on campus. Chinese Studies Scholarship - For an upper-division student (Junior or Senior)displaying excellence in the study of Chinese language or culture. Stony Brook Alumni Association Scholarships	The Alumni Association is sponsoring eight awards to students who have excelled in different areas, including academics, leadership, and the improvement of community life. Recipients will receive a cash award and will be recognized at the Undergraduate Recognition Awards Ceremony on May 2 and the Alumni Association Scholarship Golf Classic dinner on June 20.
