A Chinese working as a subway janitor in the US wowed social media users after he reportedly made a clean $275,000 in 2015 by working more than 17 hours a day.

　　Zhang Liangzhao made the quarter-million largely in overtime pay at his job with the San Francisco-based Bay Area Rapid Transit Bart (BART) system.

　　This is the third time Zhang has made a six-figure salary.

　　According to BART spokesperson Alicia Trost, Zhang’s base salary is $57,945 a year. The majority of his salary came from overtime pay and benits.

　　Zhang worked over 4,000 hours in 2015, while the average BART employee puts in about 2,000 hours a year, according to Trost.

　　Zhang isn’t the only BART janitor to take advantage of overtime pay. A total of 11 janitors raked in over $148,000 in 2015. Zhang earned $186,000 and $225,000 respectively in 2013 and 2014.

　　Social media users were shocked at Zhang’s salary, with many praising his work ethic.
