Beijing topped a salary ranking of 20 provinces andmunicipalities in China's non-private sector last year,with an average annual pay of 111,390 yuan($16,953), the People's Daily Overseas Editionreported.

　　根据《人民日报海外版》报道，在我国20个省市非私营单位2015年工资排名中，北京年平均工资最高，为111390元。

　　Zhejiang followed with 66,668 yuan, but that wasstill 44,722 yuan less than Beijing's level. Guangdongcame third, while Henan registered the lowest, just45,403 yuan.

　　Compared to the NBS data, most of the 20 places failed to live up to the national average. OnlyBeijing, Zhejiang and Guangdong topped the national average pay in the non-private sector,while in the private sector in urban areas, those three and Chongqing exceeded the nationalaverage.

　　In all 20 places, the annual average salary in the non-private sector was higher than that of theprivate sector.

　　Official statistics showed that in the private sector, employees in Jilin received the lowest annualpay, 27,774 yuan, while those in Beijing got the highest pay, 58,689 yuan, followed byGuangdong, 44,838 yuan.

　　官方数据显示，私营单位就业人员年薪最低的为吉林27774元。最高的为北京58689元，广东位居其后，为44838元。

　　According to the paper, Su Hainan, the vice president of the China Association for LaborStudies, attributed the pay gap between non-private and private sectors to non-private entities'stronger capabilities and better operation, as well as a rorm of pension insurance thatresulted in a salary increase for employees in the non-private sector last year.
