＊我写一下我对各个选项的错误认识，大家有选择的看哈～

（1）主谓不一致，题中看到划线前有个that要马上去找that要修饰的对象，抛开紧跟在that前面的介词部分不看，找到要修饰的对象 a historical account。所以马上排除AB选项。

（2）在CDE中，看到as～as和so～as的选择。首先通过in their／its detail也可以把C排除。同理见上。E中so ～as～中is that错误。因为比较的对象是 historical account yield in 这个地方 VS historical account gathered from 另外一个地方。这两个比较部分，主语都是一样的，所以后者比较可以用单数代词代替，但是比较前后谓语部分和介宾部分就不一样啦，所以不能省略。
