　　说是一个IT行业的公司，好像是什么software，近三年情况都不好，然后结合auto industry公司的成功经验，觉得应该把25%的full-time, permanent员工换成temporary员工，因为他们工资便宜，这样就能减少cost，然后还能达到什么balance。

　　考古：

　　V1：说Jetsam Software Design hasn&apost made profits for long time, and it should follow the example of the lead in the auto industry that replaces its expensive, full-time employees with cheaper, temporary employees. 然后说in auto industry how successful such a shift is, so JSD should make the same change for the long-term success and stability of the company.

　　V2：一家software desgin company为了cut budget, 决定switch 25% 的 workforce to temporary labor. 作者给了两个理由， 1. temporary workers 工资低，没有福利，会降低成本。 2. 汽车行业用同样的方法实现了复苏。最后进一步说，采取这种办法以后会有short-term financial gain 和 long-term 的stability.

　　V3：某人呼吁某software company 用auto industry 的strategy，因为auto industry把permanent员工换成了temporary 员工，所以profit增加了。Software company也可以这样，因为temporary员工工资低。预计如果software company采用这种方法，短期利润会增高，长期会取得stability

　　improvements in the firm&aposs information technology on hardware and software 会帮助提高员工的fiency. 因此every dollar in the invest to the information technology 都会提高员工的效率从而提高公司的profit margins.

　　原题：B3. The following appeared in a memorandum from the information technology department of a major advertising firm:

　　“The more ficient a firm’s employees are, the more profitable that firm will be. Improvements in a firm’s information technology hardware and software are a proven way to increase the ficiency of employees who do the majority of their work on computers. Therore, if our firm invests in the most powerful and advanced information technology available, employee productivity will be maximized.
