　　Changes:

　　Vertical hierarchy is going more horizontal (flatter management).

　　Staffs are evaluated by what they can do and recorded performance.

　　Resources and information are no longer limited to certain range of authorities. Therore, informal network becomes favourable to get information and support.

　　More strategy alliances are formed. Now a business partner’s opinion can have a stronger influence on the company’s decision.

　　Conclusion:

　　The power of inward management roles has significantly declined.
