The statement [b]could be much like a proposal for graduate studies, in the more specific con [b]text of your professional objectives. You should set forth the issues and [b]problems you wish to address. Explain your longer-term professional goals. You also may explain any irregularities or special circumstances applic [b]able to your background and elaborate on your special abilities, awards, ach [b]ievements, scholarly publications, and/or professional history. [b][b]14.Stanford [b]Statement of Purpose: The statement of purpose should describe succinctly [b]your reasons for applying to the proposed program at Stanford, your [b]preparation for this field of study, study and research interests, future [b]career plans, and other aspects of your background and interests which may [b]aid the admissions committee in evaluating [b]your aptitude and motivation for graduate study. Include the statement of pu [b]rpose with your application. [b][b]15.TAMU [b]Career Objective [b]This section MUST be completed.
