　　下表中的美国寄宿高中排名的比较数据对于衡量AP课程在每个学校提供的数量仅仅只供参考。美国寄宿高中可能更愿意提供他们自有的更高级别的课程来替代AP课程的教学大纲。比如，学校可能发现一些课程用他们自有的教学大纲会更好教授。这些高级课程一般就被认为是等同于AP课程。
