Darlington School, an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school, serves high school-aged boarders and day students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. For over a century, students from Rome, neighboring towns in Georgia, and an average of 25 states and international students from an average of 30 countries, have joined the Darlington "family" each year. Why There are obvious reasons: Darlington&apos&aposs proven track record in preparing students well for college, its serenely beautiful, 400-acre campus, its impressive facilities and wide array of academic, artistic, athletic, and social opportunities. But more significant are the friendly spirit of the School and its long history of challenging students to learn with passion, act with integrity, and serve with respect. Darlington School was founded in 1905. At Darlington, it&apos&aposs not a question of if you&apos&aposll go to college, but where. As one of the 19 AP classes offered at Darlington, the AP Environmental Science class takes learning outside of the four walls of the classroom. Darlington offers numerous instrumental ensembles including an orchestra. New in 2010, the school will offer an instrumental conservatory. The arts Darlington offers two specialized sports academies for soccer and tennis. Darlington is much more than a school to our resident students. It&apos&aposs home. Our student-athletes work out and play in a 96,000 sq. ft. athletic facility. Campus
