Introduction

School Notes

The Marvelwood Summer Program, July 5-31, 2010 The Academic and Leadership Program recognizes that each student walks a unique path towards success, one that is not always easily recognized in traditional teaching environments. Small classes, an experienced faculty, and a dedication to each student individual success distinguish the Academic and Leadership Program and provide a solid foundation for academic and personal success. The program is open to students entering grades 8 1 interested in enrichment or make-up credit, and features academic classes, electives, study skills instruction, standardized test (SSAT, SAT, ACT, TOEFL) preparation, ELL courses and afternoon leadership and art activities.
English Language Learners (ELL) Summer Program August 1-14, 2010. The ELL Program immerses international students in English language and culture and prepares them for their studies in the United States. We offer classes in grammar, writing, reading, speaking, vocabulary, and TOEFL preparation. Afternoon and weekends included engaging and interactive events for international students to enhance their studies. The program is open to students entering grades 8 1 who plan to enroll in an American school for the 2010-2011 academic year; special discounts available for students enrolling in both programs.
