Introduction

North Country has been in existence since 1938 and is known as a elementary-middle boarding school where students thrive on the joy of learning through core academics embedded in an environment of outdoors, arts, and community life. Students participate in farm/garden activities, learn responsibility through daily chores, gain resilience in rock climbing, skiing, horse riding and creative outdoor play. Student residences are family-lilke and develop strong bonds among students and staff, or as a parent has said, "There is not a place on the planet where teachers are more connected to students."
