下面是2011年美国公立高中排名列表。关于全美最好的高中这一话题，是很难回答出来的。美国火热的的《新闻周刊》用历年高中时期大学课程或者高中时期大学课程的另一种形式考试作为全美27468所公立高中排名的评价指标。指标的计算方法是把一所高中一年内靠的所有AP和IB的考试数目加起来，然后除以那年的十二年级学生数。在《新闻周刊》的评价体系里，这一数字成了决定一所高中名次的唯一指标。《新闻周刊》每年提供美国最好的高中的名单。
