“The theory without data is empty, anybody can put forward theory easily, which even is reasonable. But for the science, the theory must be examined with a large of evidence”, said by the famous psychologist Robert J. Sternberg, America. I believe that psychological theory can be proved, for the former theory research, we can prove perfect by experiment, so the argue among different psychological theory schools will become valuable. I am interest in designing experiment programme, in the laboratory, I can prove the former theory as well as my hypothesis with accurate data. From then on, I take psychology as an interest to research.

　　For this beli, I was accepted by Hua Zhong Normal University with excellent result to study psychology. My cognitive psychology teacher, graduated from SUNY-Stony Brook, was research on the cognitive language including bilingual, speech perception and some language memory. Moreover, she set up a group in order to enrich our knowledge. In the group, according to our interest we chose different fields of cognitive research, and we read English literature each week, and then gave perception, from which I could touch with new research of many countries. In addition, my teaching material of cognitive psychology, with the original English edition, was written by the famous psychologist, Robert J. Sternberg. We took bilingual teaching, and the final exam was in the form of English, I ranked the first with 90 score.

　　In March, 2006, I had a chance to participate in the lecture and research communication of the language cognitive psychologist, Arthur Samuel, came from SUNY-Stony Brook. In the activity, the speech perception was mentioned. It rerred to that listeners were exposed to a speaker whose pronunciation of a particular sound (either /s/ of /sh/) is ambiguous. And then test the participants for perceptual learning on two continua that range from /s/ to /sh/. I put forward a point about difference between single word and two-wordsin Chinese language. If we changed the mandarin initials or mandarin vowels of the first word and the second word, it would lead to a different result of perceptual learning. But the other way was to translate Chinese into English and to find the different perceptual learning between Chinese and English. Compared with this way, I thought that it was worthy of doing my research.

　　During June, I programmed an experiment of long-term Cross-Language Repetition Priming in Conceptual Implicit Memory Tasks of the less proficient Chinese-English bilinguals. On the basis of the research of Professor René Zeelenberg, from Indiana University Bloomington, I designed four experiments with C language in the same –language condition and cross-language condition. I used the task of lexical level or semantic level in study phase, finally, observing whether it had influence to performance of the lexical level task.

　　Last year, as a RA of language cognitive laboratory in the college of psychology, I made use of software of Gold Wave to compile stimulate voice for the experiment of speech signal processing, and designed experiment material for idiom tune perception of mandarin and Wuhan dialect. I also took part in record and pre-trial of other language perception experiments, which could make me understand that cognitive psychology was strict to experiment control. Therore, if we would like to become a psychologist we must have earnest and conscientious and carul spirit to work.

　　As well as I known, America is the most developed country in psychology. Compared with the research, we can find that the level of cognitive psychology at home is lower. So I hope that I would like to go America to study PH.D in order to enrich my special knowledge and research the mechanism of language we have got and help them to gain the second language, which make Chinese people study English easily. If we would like to solve some problems about language, we need contact with computer and communication to research voice intelligence and learn the religious attitude to academy.

　　In my option, we can understand the character and discipline of psychological phenomenon and explain interior activity in terms of language research. If we can correct express and accept language, it will be important for practice activity in society, especially intelligence development for children. I am full of hope to cognitive language in the future. For dependable, inflexible and independent thinking, I believe that I can gain the achievement with my hard study and research.
