　　Dear Professor,

　　xx asked me to write him a recommendation letter. I feel privileged to support his application for advanced study in your department.

　　I first heard about xx from my colleagues who were his schoolmates during their college and post graduate time. From their evaluations on him, I felt that he seemed to be a character in the fairy tale among them. In the “Tale”, I know that he lost weight by 30kg through years of playing Martial Art, which occupied nearly all of his extracurricular time with his study uninfluenced. Since his excellent Martial Art, he became the important role in soirees of medicine college. Word has it that he used to get a good mark and be decorated with many certificates rlecting his personal capability. It was on many Academic Conferences afterwards when I personally saw him and exchanged deeply with him. My appreciation on him was aroused by the more and more deeply contact with him. His meticulosity and good negotiating skills impressed me most on the xxxx Conference held in xx in Sep. 2003. It was a big conference lasting four days with hundreds of participants. It was rare to see that he, in his age and experience, could arrange it in an orderly way in this condition. In addition, the xxxx Hospital where he worked is the most famous hospital for sports medicine, in which the bone and xxx center had to diagnose the injuries of thousands of athletes. Hundreds of them had to accept the operation in the center which is characterized by arthroscopy operation and the special recovering trainings with it. During less than two years since doctor xx had worked there, he established the first Tendon Allograft &bone tissue bank, which played a significant role in rebuilding ACL of their center. I have ever discussed with him on some professional problems, from which I felt that he was loaded with the professional knowledge more than others in his age. He got a chance to study in the doctor program in xx University, but this ambitious young guy gave up for his further study deisire in some developed countries in this field. Taking his working and studying experience into full account, he set his goal on Sports Medicine and decided to achieve in this field.
