　　I have always been fascinated by the profession of chemical engineering because I am interested in how raw materials are made into the things which we are dependant on, our wants and needs in everyday life and at the same time we have to consider the health and safety issues. They also have to be cost fective and their production processes needs to be as less harmless as possible to our surroundings and ourselves. As we are producing more of the desirable products, we also have to consider the waste issues, unwanted by-products and what needs to be done to recycle the energy in the processes.

　　I am studying Maths, chemistry and economics which are giving me the skills needed to become a successful engineer as I am improving my numeric skills with the understanding of the rate of reactions and how they have to be cost fective considering the demand & supply analysis at the same time.

　　I have attended Maths Presentations and courses at University of Manchester which I really enjoyed and developed on my problem solving ability and adapting my knowledge to new and challenging situations beyond the scope of my school work. I am on Manchester Academic Program and I was given a choice to do an assignment on any of subjects/careers I am interested in of 1st year degree level, I chose to do an assignment on applied mathematics & Organic Chemistry which involved a lot of research and gave me a chance to learn a lot more about applied mathematics and Organic Chemistry which developed my existing skills and gave me a lot more knowledge.

　　With such a tough studying time table I have always had a part time job as well which has improved my team working, organizational and leadership skills as I have worked in various fields such as telesales, retail, catering and I was also an Assistant Manager for the Sky Sales Department. I am also the captain of the Sixth Form Cricket Team and like to play various other sports such as Basketball too. I took part in functions and events at my school as well where I have performed dances and was a host for one of the events which all of them proves that I have good communication, team working and leadership skills. I also like to read magazines such as Economics today and Chemical Engineering which keeps me up to date with what’s happening in the world markets and Chemical Process Industries.

　　Throughout my experiences of chemical engineering, studies and assignments related to the subject, I have developed my interest and knowledge and enjoyed it a lot therore I am looking forward to tackle an exciting, diverse and competitive profession such as Chemical Engineering.
