Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology (Plant)

The Department of Biology seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor to start August 2015 to fill a one-year position. The successful candidate will join a biology faculty committed to innovative teaching in the liberal arts setting. The individual hired will teach in the laboratory component of a foundation course called Evolution, Ecology, and Diversity, teach an elective course called Biology of Plants, and contribute to Colgate’s liberal arts core curriculum by teaching a general education course in the area of their choice. Completion of PhD prior to or shortly after the date of hire is expected, and teaching experience is desirable.
