Visiting Assistant Professor - Management

The University of California, Merced is a dynamic new university campus in Merced, California, which opened in September 2005 as the tenth campus of the University of California and the first American research university in the 21st century. In keeping with the mission of the University to provide teaching, research and public service of the highest quality, UC Merced offers research-centered and student-oriented educational opportunities at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels through three academic schools: Engineering, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences/Humanities/Arts.

The Ernest Julio Gallo Management Program invite applications for Visiting Assistant Professors for a wide array of courses. We are seeking scholars who can contribute to the research environment at UC Merced. Priority areas of teaching/research include accounting, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, strategy, finance, marketing, information systems, and operations management. The appointment will be made on a yearly basis, for a maximum of two years, with a 2-course teaching load per semester.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in one of the academic areas of management, or a closely related field with demonstrated excellence in scholarship and teaching are required. We are particularly interested in candidates who have cross-functional or multi-disciplinary research interests.
