Assistant Professor of Biochemistry

As part of a major, institution-wide fort to develop a world-class environment for chemical biology at the University of Utah, the Department of Biochemistry is searching for a talented new investigator as an Assistant Professor in the tenure-track. We are interested in all areas of chemical biology (broadly dined) including phenotypic screening, protein design, and synthetic biology. Notably strong opportunities for synergy exist in the areas of cardiovascular, cancer, immunologic, infectious, metabolic, and neurological disorders. This recruitment will be supported by the USTAR Economic Development Initiative. In addition to excellence in original research and commitment to education, the successful candidate will develop programs that initiate new commercial opportunities. The starting date is flexible. Applications will be reviewed as they are received starting from October 15. Position will remain open until filled.
