Visiting position in Chemistry

The Chemistry Department at Reed College invites applications for a visiting position, prerably at the assistant professor level beginning January 2016. This position is currently open for one semester, but may be extended for an additional two semesters pending administrative approval. Teaching duties will include introductory organic chemistry and/or introductory chemistry. A PhD is required and postdoctoral experience is prerred. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research. The Chemistry Department occupies a dedicated building with individual faculty research labs, and has excellent resources for innovative teaching and research, including a 400 MHz NMR, GC-MS, and a molecular modeling computer laboratory.
