TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN MICROBIOLOGY/MOLECULAR GENETICS

The Ohio State University at Marion invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in the department of Microbiology and/or Molecular Genetics (depending on the candidate’s research focus) to begin in Autumn Semester 2016. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Microbiology and/or Molecular Genetics and a strong commitment to teaching and research.

Marion campus faculty are members of The Ohio State University’s academic departments. Teaching and service for this position will occur primarily on the Marion campus, one of six campuses of The Ohio State University, located about 45 miles north of the central campus in Columbus.

We seek candidates with diversified teaching expertise who, besides teaching courses in their own research area, may teach courses in Evolution, Ecology, Organismal Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, or other curricular areas required for a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory and higher level courses; laboratory supervision; research and publication; and service to the campus, university, and discipline.
