The Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University invites applications for two tenure-track ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR positions in areas related to human genetics. We are interested in applicants who will contribute to the research and teaching missions of the Department and develop innovative research programs relevant to human genetics with areas of expertise in medical genetics, genomics, epigenetics, developmental genetics, structural biology, computational biology, or similar fields.
Individuals will be housed on the main Clemson University campus and will collaborate with faculty on both the main campus and CU Center for Human Genetics, a collaborative research venture with the Greenwood Genetic Center in Greenwood, SC. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a related discipline, with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral training. The successful candidates are expected to develop and/or maintain extramurally funded research programs, participate in graduate student training, and contribute to teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses. A competitive salary commensurate with background and experience, state-of-the-art lab space, 20K+ core supercomputer access, start-up funds, and a benits package are included.
