Research Assistant Professor/Manager of UMBC Imaging Facilities

The College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at UMBC invites applications for a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor to manage the Keith Porter Imaging Facility in the department of Biological Sciences and assume college-wide administrative responsibilities of the NanoImaging Center in the department of Physics. The successful applicant will: manage the day-to-day operation of the Keith Porter Facility, train the users of this facility in the operation of the microscopes, associated software and data storage, perform administrative duties (including those for the NanoImaging Center), write content for marketing, standardizing operating procedures, and acquiring new equipment, collaborate with faculty on research projects and offer courses and/or workshops in microscopy.

Applicants must have a PhD in Biology or other relevant field with expertise in confocal microscopy. Postdoctoral experience is prerred and knowledge of transmission electron microscopy is highly desirable.
