Proponents claim that overseas study has so many advantages. First of all,it can broaden students’ vision. They get a chance to experience a quitedifferent culture. The knowledge of social custom acquires in the othercountries helps them to become more open-minded. Secondly, there are academicadvantages. Students can learn advanced technology and science. They willreceive a different education. The book resources are more up-to-data. Theprofessors are ware of the latest development in their fields. That is to say,the standard of teaching is much higher. Thirdly, when they finish their studybroad, they will have more choices for their future career. All the above meritsare conducive to their self-betterment and self-realization.

In my opinion, while overseas study has its drawbacks, the advantages arealso obvious. It can broaden one’s horizon. Students have easy access to thirst-rate facilities and the latest development in the science and technology.When they finish their study, they will have more job opportunities. Therore,as long as it is financially feasible, an overseas study may do a person moregood than harm.
