2017年美国本科申请essay题目公布

CA官网公布了2016-2017年美国大学本科申请essay题目，和2015-2016年的相同。据CA统计，2015-2016年，超过80万申请人通过Common application提交申请，其中47%的学生文书写的是关于自己的背景、身份、兴趣爱好，即第一个essay题目是选择最多的；有22%的申请人选择了第5个题目，写自己的成就；17%的申请人选择第二个题目，写经历过的失败；10%选择第4个题目，写了自己解决的某个问题；剩下4%写的是第三个题目(about an idea challenged)。

2016-2017年美国本科essay个人陈述文书题目( Essay Prompts )如下：

1.Some students have a background，

identity， interest， or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it。 If this sounds like you， then please share your story。

2.The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success。

Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure.How did it affect you， and what did you learn from the experience?

3.Rlect on a time when you challenged a beli or idea.What prompted you to act?Would you make the same decision again?

4.Describe a problem you ve solved or a problem you d like to solve。

It can be an intellectual challenge， a research query， an ethical dilemma - anything that is of personal importance， no matter the scale.Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution。

5.Discuss an accomplishment or event，

formal or informal， that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture， community， or family。
