英国教育具有悠久的历史和古老的传统，本土的建筑风格也五花八门，代表各个时期的建筑都非常多，以哥特式建筑风格为代表的威斯敏斯特大教堂;巴洛克式风格为代表的圣保罗大教堂，也有具有英国特色的可爱村落，村落中的房屋也是用蜂蜜色的美丽石板搭成的，田园风格乡村规划十分原汁原味，而且各大学建筑相关专业的建立时间也最为悠久，因此建筑学一直以来都是国内学生前往英伦留学的热门之选。

　　对于本科有学位的学生，可以选择到英国读建筑学硕士。但是由于中英教育制度的一些差异以及英国的行业评估问题，很多中国的建筑学本科毕业生不一定能顺利的直接申请到英国的建筑学硕士。在英国，申请建筑学硕士Master of Architecture，需要具备英国皇家建筑师协会(RIBA)第一级Part 1的认证。对于国内的本科毕业生，肯定是无法直接获得该认证的。所以，多数情况是直接将申请材料邮寄到学校(需要提交建筑作品)，由学校进行中间的联络和协助工作，如果可以通过英国皇家建筑师协会(RIBA)第一级Part 1的认证或者等同水平，那么可以直接获得大学签发的建筑学硕士的录取通知书。
